Apply a daily vitamin C and antioxident serum before putting on
your moisturizer and sunscreen. This not only helps protect skin
from free radicals that cause hyperpigmentation (those pesky brown
spots), but also may help reverse some of the damage
Work in a high spf sunscreen made for the face – and don’t
forget your eye area, neck, and décolletage. You can further
protect your face by wearing hats
Use a lightening spot treatment on the darkest of areas. Common
ingredients to look for: alpha hydroxy acid, glycolic acid,
salicylic acid, and vitamin C. Your doctor can also prescribe a
bleaching agent called hydroquinone or Retin-A
