Make sure hair is totally saturated with water before
you add shampoo
Apply about a quarter-size dollop of shampoo for medium-length,
normal thickness hair. Use less if your hair is shorter or fine,
and a bit more if your hair is longer or thicker
Scrub in circular motions using the pads of your
fingers starting at your scalp as fingernails can damage your hair
cuticle. Giving yourself a mini scalp massage as you wash can help
increase blood circulation for healthier hair
Lift and squeeze your hair as you rinse to make sure you get
all of the suds out of your scalp as well as the rest of your
hair
If your shampoo seems like it’s not working anymore,
try a clarifying one to get rid of residue build up as that can
hinder the benefits from your shampoo and conditioning treatments.
If your hair is very dry, skip this step and just be sure to rinse
out shampoo and any hair products really well as you
shower
